LGBT History Month Feb 2023
DC celebrated LGBT history month: on 11 February 2023. National Director Jade said on Twitter: -
“A truly beautiful time today spending quality time together as community, engaging in a workshop for LGBTQ+ History Month & exploring helpful tools & strategies to boost wellbeing.”
Church of England LGBTQIA+ issues: DC met with members of Next Steps Group of Bishops
In the Autumn of 2022. members of DC met with the members of the Next Steps Group of Bishops as part of the Church of England’s “Living in Love and Faith” journey.
The discussions about identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage informed the College of Bishops’ process process of discernment and decision-making that resulted in the announcement in January 2023 and the decision of the Church of England at General Synod to permit blessings of civil marriages of same-sex couples.
