Diverse Church COMMUNITIES

We believe growth in the christian faith happens most effectively in small scale, peer led christian community. Because of this Diverse Church plants one LGBTQIA+ Christian community of at least 100 members each year.

All of our communities are entirely self governing after the first year of set up.  This enables them to be best placed to respond quickly and sensitively to the needs of the group and (we hope) will encourage the formation of communities that are indigenous to different church cultures, particularly those with least LGBTQIA+ christian support. We continue to offer informal support to our DC communities, in deed each of the communities commit to offering mutual support to each other.

DC:Parents

This is a community for the christian parents of LGBT+ people. Due to limits of organisational capacity members must be in or from the UK or Republic of Ireland.

Each DC community agrees:

1. To be run by and for LGBT+ Christians (or in the case of DCP, the Christian Parents of LGBT+ people)

2. To be a confidential on and off line space so members do not need to come out beyond the group to join.

3. To be dedicated to peer to peer pastoral support where individuals can find christian community to process their understanding of LGBT+ Christian identity and find meaningful friendship.
